An industry scorecard has found that the Tasmanian seafood sector has grown by up to USD 200 million in two years, and is now valued at USD 861 million a year.
The 2011-2012 scorecard produced by the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries found the value of the rock lobster, abalone and the oyster industries have remained steady, with farmed salmon responsible for most of the growth.
