Pacific Seafood honored in Oregon

American seafood processor Pacific Seafood was honored on 6 December as one of Oregon's Most Admired Companies.

The Portland Business Journal named the Portland processor as Oregon's 8th most admired company in the agriculture and forest products category. The company received similar honors in 2011 and 2009.

The awards were based on a survey the Journal conducted with CEOs throughout the state.

"We are honored to be recognized by the local business community along with many of our fellow companies we work alongside as we all strive to create stronger communities within our great state," said Frank Dulcich, president and CEO of Pacific Seafood. "Much of this award can be attributed to our strong business partners, customers and team members who have helped us achieve our high-standards for providing fresh and quality seafood."

Pacific Seafood made headlines earlier this year when an accidental fire http://www.seafoodsource.com/en/news/supply-trade/20845-pacific-seafood-fire-accidentalripped through the company's Warrenton, Ore., processing facility. The company has since rebuilt the plant.
