Previously, he worked covering local issues at the Coastal Journal in Bath, Maine, where he won multiple awards from the Maine Press Association for his news coverage and food reviews. Chris is a graduate of the University of Maine, and got his start in writing by serving as a reporter and later the State Editor of The Maine Campus, an award-winning campus newspaper.

The Kingfish Company posted increased revenue, better margins-per-kilogram sold, and increased biomass production in 2023 as Phase 2 of the company’s Kats, the Netherlands-based yellowtail recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) facility came online in the latter half of the year.

In its latest results, the company posted EUR 3.00 (USD 3.21) per kilogram sold in Q4 2023, up from EUR 1.60 (USD 1.71) per kilogram in the same period of 2022.
